In the last two years, she has focused on recipe development, market research, collaboration with other food entrepreneurs, and market testing through product sales to individuals and event catering, serving about 2500 people.
Based on the traction and intelligence garnered from her pre-launch phase, her company is set to go full-service in 2024. The roll-up spans ready-to-eat African and Afro-infused meals, subscription-based meal kits, and immersive culinary events in the DMV and Texas. Another innovative component of her launch plan is tailoring typical meat-based African dishes to vegan needs.

Our Story
Opuruiche was founded by Cynthia O. Okorie in 2019. The expression or application of her creative skills began at the age of 8 and she has since then fallen in love with cooking.
From cooking meals to impress her dad and family back in Imo State, Nigeria, to catering for friends, small and large events, Opúruichè, as the family calls her, enjoys putting a smile on people’s faces. They say food is the way to one’s heart right? It is for this reason that Opúruichè’s pot was born.
